BRED INTHE BONE THEATRE
STUDIO & LABORATORY PROJECTS 2023

LOOKING FORWARD TO NEW HORIZONS

,Atter more than ten years of research in the training of hte actor, aafter so many adventtures of theatre making that have taiken us all over Europe and created our very own festival of Emergent Theatre in Paris, we are now embarking of a new road of discovery Towards Emotion-Ation. This three year project is included in a PjD research with Plymouth University, and will see us develop our Scales For The Actor

Since 2006 with the original embodiement of the company, and through the many adventures in theate making, our constellation of more than thirty creators from fifteen different languages and culturesm felt it was time to open our boxes dilled with the  writings never published, the images nefver shared, and the video archives showing hundred of hours of miracles. Not so much to look back as  the windows of our studio and laboratory, to allow for  a new look and a sharing with a wider audience and fields of interest.
We will be designing a multi-entry web-site to enable multiple journeys through the material diverse entries will be floating around, we hope that they will somehow get caught before being transformed again - make sure that you check often....

So thisWebsite is a work in progress to try and write about our practice, to describe in words (see our manifesto here) what we usually only know how to do. Not so much to explain it, but certainly in the hope that thosie who are not (yet ?) embodying it may have an access to it. It is certainly for us an opportunity to put into words what has often been kept moving in our bodies and in our dreams. Welcome to this new phqse of Bred In The Bone Theatre!

Introducion to Mr, Munday's Journey with Oedipus
Mr. Munday's Journey is a new writing project that accounts the real non-fictiional experiences of healing through using myths and narratives, as well as conversation real or imagined with artists and fellow companiions on the way. It is an exploraton of how  to put to writing the embodied process f illeness and healing. It is looking for a form that would allow all feelings and discovweries to be felt as if they were the readers own, much like an audience member at furing a live performance. In that sense this new piece is neither fiction, nor theatre, nor real, and although it rests on real experiences and events, characgters have been alered, names have been changed, conversations transfered All in it is absolutely true, but none of it is real - Mr Munday is registerd and has been a patient in several hospital in Paris, but no one has evey seen him or his mythical friends.
This work in progress is a frist step towards the writing of a very differentr story, as reasl and as ilpalbable, that of our journey and our findings with our Theatre.
