Bred in the Bone is first and foremost a training company. Meaning, all of our ensemble train together, in a combined practice develop by Matthieu Bellon called 'Co-ordination'. Here, we have an example of the group working in August 2013 in Wroclaw Poland. Here is an example of some of the moments that reveal themselves during our training. Here, our music is our voices and our text is the protagonist.
As part of our development at Bred In the Bone, we often record some of our training, for us to reflect, to listen, and began to understand ourselves as performers, abd also for
members of the company to hear the voices of some of our ensemble members they are yet to meet. We have hundreds of hours of videos, that sometimes if we feel a little lost, we can use the voices of other ensemble members to guide us, and remind us of work gone by, and work to come. Here, is Keiko's Song. with our company member Keiko accompanied by Daniel Gott on piano. Here we have a great example of the companies work. interweaving music, text, and the moment to create something spectacular.
Here, we have 'I'm not your anchor', a song written by company member Kate Radford, and appears at the end of Orpheus, one of the companies Shorts, written by Nick Borsack and performed by Matthieu Bellon and Kate.
21 Windmills is one of the Bone's largest productions to date. Here we have some excerpts from some of the companies rehearsals from the show that was a few years in the making.
