Dara Clear - performer

Dara is from Ireland and currently works as free lance actor in Sydney, Australia. Part of the original Don Quixote workshops/work in progress in 2006-2008, he is constantly in contact with the Company regardless of the constraints of time and space!


Dara trained at the Young Gaiety School of Acting and at Cygnet Training Theatre in Exeter. He also has a B.A. in English and Philosophy from Maynooth University. Theatre includes, Himself in In Real Time (Brokentalkers); Eamonn in The Wiremen (River Productions);Colm in Keep Coming Back (Stray Dog Productions); Dr. John Harrington in Burning Dreams and the Mayor and Yellow Wolf in Good as Gold (Team Theatre); An Ghreasai in The Quest of the Good People (Pavilion Theatre, Dun Laoghaire); Chorus in The Suicide of Miss Understood (Opera Guerillas); Fentry in Tomorrow (Misery Loves Company); Lysander and Snout in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Cygnet Theatre) and Tybalt in Romeo and Juliet (Cygnet Theatre).
TV & Film includes, Pat in Holy Water; Gerry Rice in Fallout (RTE); Bullets in Fair City (RTE). Various commercials and corporate films.
Dara has written three short films –The Race, The Man in Grey and Neville – and a one-woman play, Call Waiting.
